We reject production models that compromise ancient craft.
Instead, we bring products that embody restoration, regeneration, and respect for the land.
At Maraviglia, regenerative agriculture means restoring abandoned olive groves and rebuilding soil health over time.
Our work begins with the olive trees, but it extends to the broader landscape around them — restoring fields, preserving biodiversity, and reviving traditional farming knowledge rooted in Tuscany.
Our commitment:
The Heritage
We reclaim the knowledge and techniques of our ancestors to revive the agricultural heritage of Tuscany and protect the culture surrounding extra virgin olive oil production.
The Land
We farm with regenerative practices that restore soil health, biodiversity, and the beauty of the Tuscan countryside — from our olive groves to the surrounding fields where we grow crops like chickpeas and barley.
The People
We collaborate with small family farms and hire local workers who care deeply about this landscape, helping sustain a rural economy that is increasingly threatened by industrial agriculture.
Growing and harvesting olive trees using traditional Tuscan methods carries an intrinsic cost that most supermarket brands are unwilling to support.
As a result, many producers have shifted toward industrialized farming and large-scale production systems that prioritize volume over quality — often at the expense of landscapes that have been shaped by generations of small farmers.
The booming but poorly regulated global olive oil market has pushed many small family farms to abandon their groves due to unfair prices and unsustainable economic conditions.
The result is a paradox: consumers often end up buying low-quality, blended olive oil while the landscapes that once produced extraordinary oils slowly disappear.
With every abandoned grove we lose knowledge of the land, respect for the trees, and appreciation for what true extra virgin olive oil should be.
At Agricola Maraviglia, we refuse to let that happen.
We stand with our land, our farmers, and the people who believe food should restore the landscapes it comes from.
Our impact so far:
• 3+ hectares of olive groves restored and brought back into cultivation
• Hundreds of olive trees cared for and harvested by hand each year
• Early-harvest organic extra virgin olive oil produced on our estate
• Heirloom crops like chickpeas and barley reintroduced into the fields
