The Setting
With an ancient medieval history, Monte San Savino was one of the first urban settlements in the region. Discovering its stone-paved roads, old castles and churches, a 16th-century water cistern, locally owned shops and restaurants, a stroll through the old town can feel like you’ve gone back in time and landed in a fairytale, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
The retreat is based around an original Tuscan farmhouse, with stone walls, curvy tiles and covered terraces. You’re way up a gravel road on a peaceful hilltop, where forested footpaths and wildflowers abound.
The 400-year-old building has been lovingly restored, preserving its original structure and timeless charm. The warm, natural tones of the cottage-style furnishings create an inviting rustic atmosphere, perfectly blending comfort with authenticity.
Outside, enjoy a spacious garden, peaceful outdoor areas, and a pool—perfect for soaking in the serene beauty of Tuscany's mornings.
Your Hosts
Francesco
Maraviglia Farm in Monte San Savino is the land where Francesco spent his formative years, climbing olive trees and harvesting olives from their branches. After completing college and residing in bustling metropolises for years, he felt a deep-seated urge to return to his roots and reconnect with the land that nurtured him.
In 2018, he embarked on his own farming venture, establishing a business dedicated to producing award-winning Olive Oil and a line of fermented condiments. Alongside this, he developed a hospitality project centered around slow living and conscious experiences. His aim was to create gourmet products while preserving the land's essence, reviving abandoned groves, and cultivating ancient varieties.
