Wine Tasting in the Chianti Region

Tuscany is home to Italy’s largest concentration of vineyards, some dating back to the Middle Ages. This is the case of Badia a Coltibuono Estate.

It was one of the most important monasteries in Chianti and for over 1.000 years it has been producing excellent wines.

This charming abbey-winery sits in a silent landscape high in the Chianti hills – a place where time seems suspended. Here, amidst two thousand acres of forest and two millennia of history, you can commune with nature and enjoy the monastic peace.

By visiting this estate you will experience one of the best expressions of Chianti Classico: the Tuscan wine celebrated throughout the world. You will visit ageing cellars built at the time of the monks, gardens, courtyards and frescoed rooms all accompanied by expert guides. Of course at the end of the tour you will also taste two of their amazing wines.
